Cuthbert's mindscape is a sprawling plain dotted with low, sloping hills and the occasional crumbling rock wall. The sky is a painfully bright blue and it seems to be late summer. In the distance, a great walled city and towering, sprawling castle can be seen. Once the stones were white, but age and weather has dulled and dimmed them. The air smells like hot grass and the distant hint of the sea. A herd of horses is grazing off to the south. Here and there small stone structures can be seen - farmhouses or guardhouses perhaps. It's a pretty place, and an old place. It's not quite empty, but only shadows and silhouettes can be seen moving about in the distance - dark shapes of people without detail to any visitors. Approach any of the shadows and they fade away. Cuthbert considers his memories an intimately private thing.
